Kristina Bonello, MSw, LICSW (she/her)

Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child Psychology- University of Minnesota

Masters of Social Work Degree- University of Saint Catherine and Saint Thomas

Licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker and a board approved supervisor for individuals pursuing licensure as a Social Worker (LICSW, LGSW, or LSW).

With over 20 years of experience working with youth and families, Kristina has provided therapeutic services across various settings, including supporting individuals and families in crisis shelters, in-home, and in school-based mental health settings.  She works with clients of all ages, from 5 years old to adulthood and specializes in providing on-going individual therapy to youth and parents, and offers family therapy.

Kristina’s therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from her extensive training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Experiential Play Therapy. Utilizing a Narrative approach, Kristina partners with clients to support them in authoring their own stories, encouraging exploration of plot twists and alternate endings.  She believes in the power of play and creative expression. Sessions often incorporate activities like games, imaginative play, crafting, writing, drawing comics, or coloring encouraging clients to express themselves and engage more fully in the therapeutic process.

Kristina is passionate about partnering with children, parents, adults, and families to uncover and nurture unique strengths and resilience.  She is honored to co-create safe spaces for healing, growth, and reflection along the journey.
