Corey Thompson, LADC
Corey is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and has worked in the Chemical Dependency Treatment field since 2008. He is experienced in working with crisis intervention and dependency on heroin and opiates. Before that Corey worked for 6 years supporting clients with special needs such as fetal alcohol syndrome, autism, agoraphobia and downs syndrome.
Corey works to meet patients where they are at in their recovery and serve as a guide to assist them in getting to the core issues of their problem with substances. He provides a friendly relaxed atmosphere where people can feel comfortable opening up and sharing. Corey takes a very eclectic approach and utilizes a range of techniques in order to establish the proper course to take to support recovery.
Corey enjoys working with all populations, but tends to enjoy working with families the most. During his time working at Minnesota Teen Challenge and earning his degree from Northwestern College with an emphasis in Marriage and Family, Corey was able to incorporate his faith into his career.
